Social Worker in Belding, MI

You’ll provide vital social work services to approximately 40 students across two elementary schools and a preschool classroom, supporting their academic, social, and emotional growth.

Key Qualifications:

• Approval from the Michigan Department of Education to practice as a School Social Worker
• Demonstrated experience in delivering social work services within educational settings
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with students, families, and school staff
• Ability to develop and implement interventions that foster student well-being
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding school policies

Core Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to identify students’ needs and create individualized support strategies
• Facilitate group and individual counseling sessions focused on social and emotional development
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote a supportive learning environment
• Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams to create positive educational experiences for students
• Advocate for students and connect families to community resources as needed
