Step into a meaningful contract opportunity supporting students' well-being as a School Social Worker near the beautiful Big Lake area. This full-time role covers a maternity leave from August 24 through December 23, working closely with a caseload of approximately 50 students. Your typical work day will begin at 7:15 AM, spanning eight hours each day. You’ll have the chance to foster positive change and strengthen student support services within a welcoming educational environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid licensure or certification in school social work
- Experience with school-aged children or adolescents preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Background in counseling, advocacy, and crisis intervention is highly desirable
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, and community partners
- Commitment to creating inclusive, safe, and healthy learning environments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and group counseling to address students’ social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Coordinate and implement student intervention plans as needed
- Serve as a liaison between families, teachers, and community resources
- Support students’ transition, attendance, and academic engagement
- Provide crisis support and appropriate referrals
- Advocate for students and facilitate services for those with special needs or requiring additional assistance
