Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program
  • Valid state licensure or certification as a School Social Worker
  • Experience working in educational or youth-centered settings is strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of social-emotional learning, crisis intervention, and case management
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and parents
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and advocacy skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address students’ social, emotional, and behavioral needs
  • Provide crisis intervention and ongoing support for at-risk students
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to develop and implement behavioral interventions and support plans
  • Serve as a liaison between home, school, and community services, advocating for resources students may need
  • Participate in IEP or 504 plan meetings, sharing insight and recommendations for student support
  • Educate staff and families on social-emotional best practices and provide relevant resources as needed
  • Maintain accurate, confidential records per district guidelines
