Key Skills and Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
• Valid state licensure as a School Social Worker
• Previous experience working in K-12 school environments
• Strong crisis intervention and counseling abilities
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
• Knowledge of Individualized Education Plans (IEP) process preferred
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct counseling and intervention services to students experiencing emotional or behavioral difficulties
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to design and implement strategies that foster student success
• Conduct assessments, collect data, and support the development of IEPs and 504 plans
• Deliver classroom presentations and group sessions on relevant social/emotional topics
• Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and community resources
• Advocate for students and their right to a supportive and inclusive school environment
• Document interventions and progress while maintaining confidential records
