Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work (required)
  • Master’s Degree in Social Work (preferred)
  • Valid Illinois School Social Worker Professional Educator License (PEL) (required)
  • Prior experience in a school or educational setting is highly valued
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to promote positive school climates and support diverse student populations

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individual and group counseling to students facing academic, emotional, or social challenges
  • Collaborate with teachers, counselors, administrators, and families to design and implement effective intervention plans
  • Connect students and families with community services and resources as needed
  • Support the development and implementation of IEPs and 504 plans
  • Provide crisis response and assist in the resolution of behavioral concerns
  • Promote a safe, supportive, and inclusive school environment
