Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work is required
- Master’s Degree in Social Work is strongly preferred
- Valid and current School Social Worker Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Previous experience in a school setting is an advantage
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
- Compassionate, resourceful, and adaptable in dynamic school environments
Responsibilities:
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to students
- Assess social, emotional, and behavioral needs and develop individualized support plans
- Consult with teachers and staff to promote positive classroom environments and successful learning outcomes
- Liaise with families and connect them to relevant community resources and services
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) as needed
- Document and maintain records in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Advocate for equitable access to support services, and foster partnerships within the school community
