School-Based Social Worker - Brighton, Michigan

Desired Qualifications:

• Current Social Worker licensure in the state
• Previous experience in a school-based or educational setting preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with diverse populations

• Familiarity with IEPs, behavioral interventions, and special education processes

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct social work services to students, including counseling and case management
• Assess students’ needs and develop proactive strategies to improve academic and social performance
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to create a supportive learning environment

• Advocate for student needs and help connect families to outside resources as appropriate
• Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with school and legal standards
