Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Michigan School Social Worker License is required
- Prior experience in a school setting strongly preferred
- Strong communication, advocacy, and organizational skills
- Comfortable working autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Compassion and professionalism in supporting diverse student populations
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individual and group counseling to students, fostering academic and social success
- Partner with teachers, administrators, and families to develop intervention strategies and support plans
- Assist with crisis intervention and behavioral management as needed
- Maintain thorough, confidential documentation related to student support and progress
- Provide referrals for community resources and advocate for student needs
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and 504 Plans
