Make a meaningful impact on students’ lives as a dedicated advocate and resource, serving as a School Social Worker. In this contract role, you’ll work onsite in the Bronson, MI area, providing vital social and emotional support to K-12 students from August 24, 2026, through June 4, 2027 (35 hours per week). You will collaborate with school staff, students, and families to foster a positive and inclusive school climate.
What we’re seeking:
- Current and valid Michigan Social Worker licensure
- Experience in school settings, especially with K-12 students
- Strong understanding of social-emotional learning, crisis intervention, and individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Excellent communication skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality
- Experience developing and implementing support plans for students facing a variety of social and behavioral challenges
Your key responsibilities:
- Provide social-emotional support and interventions to students onsite
- Develop and facilitate individualized or group interventions that address behavioral, social, and emotional needs
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families regarding students’ needs and progress
- Participate in IEP and student support meetings
- Assist in crisis management and provide resources or referrals for community-based services
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines
