What we’re looking for:

• Experience working as a social worker in an elementary school setting
• Deep understanding of child development, trauma-informed care, and social/emotional support practices
• Licensed or certified as a School Social Worker (or eligible)
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and advocacy skills

Key responsibilities:

• Provide direct social-emotional support to students through counseling, crisis intervention, and group work
• Develop and implement intervention plans for students facing academic, behavioral, or emotional challenges
• Assist in identifying students’ needs by conducting assessments and participating in student support meetings
• Serve as a liaison between school, families, and community agencies to ensure coordinated services
• Support classroom staff with strategies for promoting positive behavior and social skills
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
