Qualifications and Experience:

• Active licensure as a Social Worker (LCSW, LICSW, or equivalent) in Minnesota
• Prior experience in school-based social work or pediatric populations preferred
• Strong skills in crisis intervention, counseling, and resource coordination
• Familiarity with IEP, 504 planning, and multi-disciplinary collaboration within schools
• Exceptional communication, rapport-building, and advocacy skills
• Ability to maintain detailed documentation and adhere to privacy regulations
• Adaptable, empathetic, and skilled in working with diverse students and families

What You’ll Do:

• Provide individual and group counseling for elementary students to address social, emotional, and behavioral needs
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff to develop supportive learning environments
• Contribute to the creation and management of IEP/504 plans and intervention strategies
• Connect students and families with community resources and external support services
• Respond to crisis situations, offering timely interventions and referrals as needed
• Document all interactions and keep thorough, confidential case notes
• Advocate for student well-being and help foster a nurturing, inclusive school culture
