Make a meaningful difference in the lives of elementary students as a School Social Worker. Your expertise will provide vital support and intervention for K-5 students, helping them succeed both socially and academically. This in-person contract opportunity involves working on-site at a single school, offering a focused environment with a manageable caseload of 30 to 40 students in both general and special education.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active, full School Social Work endorsement required
  • State certification as a School Social Worker, fully certified prior to start
  • Experience working with elementary-aged children (K-5) preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to provide crisis intervention, individual/group counseling, and collaborate with family and staff

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct social work services and counseling to general and special education students
  • Assess students’ needs and develop strategies supporting academic and social growth
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to implement personalized interventions
  • Maintain thorough documentation and communicate student progress to appropriate parties
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, IEP teams, and school-wide initiatives
  • Offer resources and referrals to students and families as needed

Position Details:

  • 2 to 3 days per week, 8:30 am – 4:00 pm
  • Serve an elementary K-5 population within a single school setting
  • Support a manageable caseload for impactful, student-centered work
  • This assignment does not offer hybrid or teletherapy options; all work is in person
