Social Worker in Canonsburg, PA

Two full-time opportunities are available for experienced school social workers to serve onsite in established programs near Canonsburg, PA. These contract positions offer the chance to support students in essential emotional support, partial hospitalization, and long-term substitute settings.

Potential placements:

• Emotional support and partial hospitalization program, starting as soon as possible through December 2026 (subject to change)
• Long-term substitute social work assignment from October 2026 through end of January 2027 (exact dates TBD)

Ideal candidates bring strong experience working in school environments, with the passion and skills to help students achieve their full potential.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Social Work or related field required
• Pennsylvania State License
• PDE Educational Specialist certification preferred (if not held, candidates may still be considered as an emergency certificate can be requested)
• Previous experience in school-based social work or closely related programs is highly valued
• Ability to work onsite at either location with a mapped-out commute
• Strong communication, collaboration, and crisis intervention skills

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and indirect social work services, supporting students in coping, emotional regulation, and behavioral growth
• Collaborate with school teams, families, and community partners to foster student success
• Maintain thorough documentation for case management and compliance
• Contribute to individualized education or treatment plans as needed
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and offer professional expertise to support program goals

These roles are full-time (35 hours per week), with all work conducted onsite.
