School-Based Social Worker - Canonsburg, Pennsylvania

Empower students to thrive with a dynamic behavioral health team dedicated to making a difference. Full-time contract opportunities are available for experienced Social Workers or Counselors passionate about supporting the well-being and development of K–12 students. These positions are based at sites where you’ll provide vital support within emotional support and partial hospitalization programs, assisting students managing significant mental health challenges. All assignments are onsite, serving in a school environment that values compassionate, skilled care.

Current openings include:

• Full-time position at the McMurray campus, engaging with emotional support and partial hospitalization programs (assignment through June 2, 2027, subject to change).
• Long-term substitute role at another school location from October 2026 through January 2027.

Ideal candidates will bring clinical expertise, creativity, and a collaborative approach to working alongside educators, administrators, and families.

What we’re seeking:

• Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field
• Active Pennsylvania State License
• PDE Educational Specialist certification (for some assignments)
• Experience supporting students with mental health or behavioral needs strongly preferred
• Excellent communication and crisis intervention skills
• Ability to work onsite and fully engage with school teams
• Flexibility and commitment to fostering a positive school climate

Responsibilities will include:

• Providing direct counseling and support for students in need of behavioral or emotional assistance
• Coordinating care plans and interventions with interdisciplinary school teams
• Participating in IEP meetings and family conferences
• Maintaining detailed records in compliance with state and district regulations
