Bring your expertise as a School Social Worker to an impactful, full-time contract opportunity supporting an elementary school for the fall semester! As a valued member of the school community, you’ll manage a diverse caseload, provide meaningful behavioral interventions, and deliver individualized support to students. You will be integral to conducting evaluations as required, ensuring effective and timely services are provided to those who need them. Your collaboration will extend across staff, parents, and administration to promote positive student outcomes, and your participation in IEP meetings will help shape supportive, student-centered plans. Additionally, you will assist with the PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) process, helping create a nurturing, productive school culture.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan School Social Worker certification
- Active Michigan Social Worker License (LLMSW, LMSW, or LCSW)
- Experience within an elementary school setting strongly preferred
- Skilled in conducting behavioral interventions and student evaluations
- Collaborative approach in multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide behavioral support and intervention for elementary-aged students
- Conduct social/emotional and behavioral evaluations
- Work closely with educators, parents, and administrators
- Attend and actively participate in IEP meetings
- Support the implementation of the PBIS process
