Social Worker in Carbondale, PA

This full-time contract role offers the opportunity to work 37.5 hours per week, beginning as soon as possible and continuing through May 28, 2027. As a vital member of the school community, your expertise and compassionate approach will support students' well-being and help foster a positive school environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program
• Valid state licensure or ability to obtain required credentials as a School Social Worker
• Prior experience working in K-12 educational settings preferred
• Confident with crisis intervention, IEP processes, case management, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated commitment to supporting children and adolescents from diverse backgrounds

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct social-emotional support to students, individually and in groups
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop intervention and support plans
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of effective strategies for student success
• Connect families with community resources and services
• Conduct assessments and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with all regulations
• Lead preventive programming and staff professional development as needed
