Elementary School Social Worker

Soliant is arranging interviews for a School Social Worker to join an elementary school team in Center Line, Michigan for a full-time position. The ideal candidate will support students through educational planning, crisis intervention, and ongoing collaboration with school staff to ensure students receive appropriate services and interventions.

Position Details:

• Schedule: Full-Time
• Setting: Elementary School
• School Year: 2026–2027

Responsibilities:

• Participate in Individualized Educational Planning Team (IEPT) meetings and assist with the ongoing review of student strategies and interventions.
• Monitor the effectiveness of strategies and help determine when updates or adjustments are needed.
• Complete Crisis Intervention and Prevention training and utilize appropriate techniques to de-escalate students experiencing physically or emotionally aggressive behaviors.
• Collaborate with educators, administrators, families, and other members of the student support team.
• Provide social work services and support to help students succeed academically, behaviorally, and socially.
• Accurately document and bill for eligible services through the county Medicaid system.

Requirements:

• Michigan School Social Worker Certification
• Michigan Social Worker License: LLMSW, LMSW, or LCSW
