Desired Experience & Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, with licensure appropriate for school-based practice
- Previous experience as a school social worker or in a related educational setting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and staff
- Knowledge of social-emotional learning, crisis intervention, and community resource referrals
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to support students’ academic and social-emotional needs
- Work closely with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement intervention strategies
- Identify and assess students at risk, coordinate appropriate services and referrals
- Participate in special education evaluation processes and IEP meetings
- Lead crisis response efforts and provide support during emergencies
- Advocate for students and collaborate with community agencies as necessary
- Maintain thorough records and complete documentation in a timely manner
