Grades 9 - 12 K-5 Social Worker | Chicago, Illinois

Make a meaningful impact supporting students in grades 6-8 as a school-based Social Worker. This full-time, onsite contract role is an excellent opportunity for compassionate professionals who are dedicated to fostering the emotional and social development of adolescents. With a manageable caseload of 35 students, you’ll work in a collaborative school environment near Chicago, IL.

Key Qualifications:

• Current Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker endorsement (required)
• Experience working with grades 6-8 preferred; knowledge of K-5 and 9-12 age ranges is a plus
• Strong understanding of IEP processes and school-based counseling
• Ability to deliver direct and consultative social work services
• Skilled in data collection, documentation, and progress monitoring for student reports

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative social work services as mandated by student IEPs
• Gather, analyze, and report data to track student progress and inform planning
• Complete all IEP paperwork for Annual Reviews, Initial, and Reevaluation Meetings
• Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student well-being
• Maintain accurate records and uphold policies and confidentiality standards
• Support students' social-emotional needs throughout the academic year
