School Social Worker - Chicago, IL

Desired Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
• Current state licensure as a School Social Worker
• Previous experience in K-12 educational environments is preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Compassionate, resourceful, and able to establish positive relationships with students and staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to students managing social, emotional, and behavioral concerns
• Conduct assessments and maintain thorough documentation in compliance with school policies
• Develop and implement intervention strategies tailored to student needs
• Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators to support students’ academic and personal growth
• Act as a liaison between the school, family, and external community resources
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as needed
