Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution
  • State licensure or eligibility for license as a school social worker
  • Experience working with children and adolescents within educational settings
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and crisis intervention skills
  • Ability to collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families
  • Familiarity with relevant legal regulations, IEP planning, and community resources
  • Exceptional organization and case management abilities

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling to support students’ social and emotional needs
  • Assess and address barriers affecting student achievement, including behavioral, emotional, or familial challenges
  • Develop and implement intervention strategies tailored to individual student circumstances
  • Participate actively in multidisciplinary teams to contribute insights to IEPs and 504 Plans
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support positive educational outcomes
  • Advocate for students and connect families with appropriate community resources
  • Maintain accurate, confidential student records and progress notes
