Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a School Social Worker
- Previous experience in a school or youth-focused setting strongly preferred
- Familiarity with developmental needs of students in late elementary through early high school
- Proficient in individual and group counseling techniques
- Skilled at crisis intervention and resource coordination
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities with students, staff, and families
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform assessments to identify student needs affecting school performance and well-being
- Provide short-term and ongoing counseling for students in grades 5–9
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to develop intervention strategies
- Facilitate group sessions targeting social skills, conflict resolution, and emotional regulation
- Act as a liaison among families, school staff, and community agencies to ensure comprehensive support
- Contribute to individualized education plans (IEPs) and support students with 504 accommodations
- Participate in crisis response as needed to support students and staff
