Empower students to overcome challenges and excel in a supportive school environment as a contract school social worker. In this impactful role, you’ll collaborate with staff, students, and families across 5th to 9th grades, providing essential social-emotional support and resources. Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
  • Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a School Social Worker
  • Previous experience in a school or youth-focused setting strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with developmental needs of students in late elementary through early high school
  • Proficient in individual and group counseling techniques
  • Skilled at crisis intervention and resource coordination
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities with students, staff, and families
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform assessments to identify student needs affecting school performance and well-being
  • Provide short-term and ongoing counseling for students in grades 5–9
  • Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to develop intervention strategies
  • Facilitate group sessions targeting social skills, conflict resolution, and emotional regulation
  • Act as a liaison among families, school staff, and community agencies to ensure comprehensive support
  • Contribute to individualized education plans (IEPs) and support students with 504 accommodations
  • Participate in crisis response as needed to support students and staff
