Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program
  • Active state licensure as a School Social Worker
  • Previous experience in a school-based or youth-centered environment preferred
  • Strong skills in crisis intervention, counseling, and case management
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and special education support plans is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess students' needs and provide direct social-emotional support through individual and group counseling
  • Serve as a key liaison between families, teachers, and school administrators to promote student well-being
  • Develop intervention plans and facilitate referrals to community resources as needed
  • Contribute to the multi-disciplinary team, including participation in IEP meetings and supporting special education initiatives
  • Monitor and document student progress, maintaining accurate and confidential records
  • Offer resources, workshops, or support to parents and staff related to mental health, resilience, and student success
