Empower students and support positive educational outcomes as a school-based Social Worker on a contract basis. Make a direct impact, working collaboratively with educators, families, and community resources to address students’ social, emotional, and behavioral needs within an educational setting.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
  • Valid licensure or eligibility for licensure as a School Social Worker in Illinois
  • Previous experience in school settings or with school-aged children preferred
  • Proficiency conducting assessments, developing individualized support plans, and facilitating crisis intervention
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, educators, and families
  • Ability to manage multiple caseloads and adapt practices to meet diverse needs

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to identify barriers to students’ learning and well-being
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized intervention and support plans
  • Provide individual and group counseling to students facing academic, social, or emotional challenges
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to ensure a coordinated approach
  • Connect families with community resources and advocate for students’ needs
  • Maintain accurate documentation in line with school and state guidelines
  • Participate in meetings, professional development, and multidisciplinary teams as needed
