Step into an essential role supporting student well-being and achievement as a school-based therapist for a contract position spanning from December 1 through June 4. This full-time opportunity is ideal for a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Clinical (LCSW-C) licensed in Maryland. Your impact will be felt across multiple school sites, all while being centrally based at the district’s central office.

As an itinerant therapist, no two days are quite the same—travel between sites to collaborate with educators, families, and administrators to help create supportive environments tailored to student success. A virtual interview simplifies the process, allowing you to showcase your expertise and compassionate approach.

Qualifications:

  • Current and active LCPC or LCSW-C licensure in the state of Maryland required
  • Previous experience working with children and adolescents in school settings strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated skill in crisis management, behavioral interventions, and counseling
  • Ability to adapt seamlessly between various school environments and caseloads
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide direct clinical counseling services to students in a variety of school settings
  • Develop and implement individualized intervention strategies in collaboration with school teams
  • Maintain confidential, detailed records in compliance with district and state requirements
  • Serve as a resource for staff and families on student social-emotional needs
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings as a mental health expert

This position offers a consistent full-time schedule from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, giving you the ability to make a positive difference during the school day and enjoy your evenings free.

If you are a dedicated, creative, and proactive licensed clinical professional looking to enrich school communities, share your credentials by applying today. Your expertise is needed to empower students and support their growth throughout the academic year.

Compensation for this position ranges from $36.20 to $56.20. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
