Social Worker in Clinton Township, MI

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid, active School Social Worker certification (310) required; please submit documentation with your application
• Experience working with K-12 students preferred, especially in special education settings
• Familiarity with Michigan state credentialing requirements (certification can be verified at the Michigan Department of Education website)
• Candidates without current certification must have supervision arrangements completed prior to interview
• Strong advocacy, crisis intervention, and communication skills essential
• Ability to work collaboratively and build rapport with students, families, and school staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct social work services to K-12 students, including individual and group support
• Conduct assessments, develop intervention strategies, and contribute to IEP and 504 plans
• Collaborate closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote students’ social-emotional development
• Support transitions, crisis situations, and behavioral concerns within the school environment
