Key Qualifications:

• Active Michigan school social work certification (310) required—please be prepared to provide documentation.
• Prior experience as a school social worker, preferably serving K-12 students within a special education setting.
• Strong understanding of strategies for supporting students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with special education teams, teachers, administrators, and families.
• If certification is not held, arrangements for supervision must be established before scheduling an interview.
• Commitment to onsite work—remote or hybrid work options are not available for this position.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and develop tailored intervention plans for K-12 students.
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and case management services.
• Facilitate communication between students, families, and school staff to ensure comprehensive support.
• Provide professional development and consultation to educators regarding social-emotional learning.
