What We’re Looking For:

• Active Michigan school social worker certification (310) is REQUIRED—please provide verification upon submission.
• Experience supporting students within elementary and/or special education settings is highly valued.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team to address student needs and establish interventions.
• Solid communication skills for interacting with students, parents, teachers, and administrators.
• Commitment to upholding confidentiality and ethical standards in student support.
• Candidates without current certification must secure approved supervision prior to interviewing.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Work directly with elementary students, providing counseling and support to address social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
• Develop and implement evidence-based interventions tailored to students’ individual education plans (IEPs).
• Participate in team meetings, collaborating with special education staff, teachers, and families to ensure wraparound support.
• Advocate for students’ needs and facilitate connections to additional school and community resources.
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to all legal and district reporting requirements.
