Social Worker | Coal Center, Pennsylvania

Enthusiastic and compassionate social workers are needed for dynamic, full-time contract opportunities supporting students in a school setting. These rewarding, onsite positions center around making a meaningful difference for children and adolescents by offering both direct support and guidance to school communities.

There are two positions available:

• Provide services to an emotional support program as well as a partial hospitalization program (McMurray area, ASAP through June 2027, dates subject to change).
• Serve as a long-term substitute with a focus on K-12 student wellbeing (Coal Center area, October 2026 through end of January 2027, exact dates to be determined).

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Social Work or closely related field
• Current PA State license required
• PDE Educational Specialist certification preferred; candidates without PDE may still be considered if eligible for emergency certification
• Previous experience in a school environment or with emotional support/behavior intervention preferred
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills

Primary Duties:

• Deliver direct social work services to support students’ emotional, behavioral, and academic success
• Consult and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to facilitate interventions and programming
• Develop, implement, and monitor student action plans in accordance with school and district guidelines
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide crisis intervention as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation and records in compliance with all regulations
