Social Worker in Coal Center, PA

Bring your expertise and compassion to two impactful social work opportunities, serving students onsite in a supportive educational environment just outside Coal Center, PA. These full-time contract roles invite you to make a direct difference in the lives of children and youth, working closely with school programs dedicated to emotional well-being and support.

There are two distinct positions available:

• Emotional support and partial hospitalization program at the McMurray Campus, with assignments running from ASAP through June 2027.
• Long-term substitute role at a school in Coal Center, PA, starting October 2026 until late January 2027.

Ideal candidates will bring experience working in school settings, an understanding of the unique needs of youth, and a passion for fostering resilience and self-advocacy among students.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Social Work (or related field)
• Pennsylvania State License for Social Work
• PDE Educational Specialist certification (or eligibility for an emergency certificate, if not currently held)
• Experience with emotional support programming or partial hospitalization programs strongly preferred
• Ability to work onsite Monday–Friday, full-time (35 hours per week)
• Willingness to commute to McMurray or Coal Center locations as assigned

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Providing direct support and counseling to students in emotional support and/or partial hospitalization programs
• Collaborating with teachers, families, and school teams to develop and implement plans that address individual student needs
• Delivering crisis intervention, advocacy, and resource referral services
• Maintaining accurate documentation and compliance with state and district protocols
