School Social Worker - Coldwater, MI

Key Qualifications:

• Valid and active social work licensure in the state of Michigan
• Proven experience in a school-based or similar youth-centered setting
• Strong knowledge of social work practices specific to the needs of children and adolescents
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with students, families, and school staff
• Ability to manage a flexible caseload and adjust to varying student needs

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive support services to students, helping them address academic, social, and emotional challenges
• Participate actively in student evaluations, planning and implementing interventions, and ongoing case management
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create strategies that promote student success
• Maintain thorough documentation and adhere to all relevant policies and confidentiality standards
• Offer crisis intervention and connect students/families to appropriate resources as needed
• Engage in ongoing evaluation of service effectiveness and adapt strategies as appropriate

Position Details:

• Duration: August 24, 2026 – June 4, 2027
• Contract commitment for 35 hours per week
• Onsite role supporting a local school community
• District is flexible with caseload preferences; specific assignments will be discussed in the interview process
