As a vital resource for students, you’ll collaborate with staff, families, and other providers to ensure every student has the support they need to thrive socially and emotionally. Key Qualifications:
- Active Michigan social work license required
- Experience working as a school social worker or providing social work services in educational settings
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and colleagues
- Ability to develop, implement, and monitor evidence-based interventions
- Deep understanding of school systems, child development, and trauma-informed practices
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct social work services to students, including individual and group support
- Conduct assessments to address social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families on intervention strategies
- Support the development and execution of IEPs and 504 plans as needed
- Coordinate with community resources and agencies for student support
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with district and state guidelines
