School Social Worker - Copeland, FL

Step into a dynamic role serving K-8 students and families near Copeland, Lehigh, and Ft. Myers, where your expertise as a bilingual (English/Spanish) school social worker can truly make an impact. This full-time, contracted opportunity begins August 10th and extends through May 27th, providing the chance to engage deeply with your school community throughout the academic year.

As a key team member, you’ll work 40 hours per week supporting students, families, and staff, focusing primarily on Medicaid billing, conducting evaluations, and providing valuable community resources. Your ability to bridge communication in both English and Spanish will make you an invaluable advocate and resource for students and their families.

Qualifications you’ll bring:

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) required
• Bilingual - fluent in English and Spanish
• Experience working in school settings, particularly K-8
• Proficiency in Medicaid billing preferred
• Commitment to supporting students, family engagement, and community collaboration
• Availability to stay until 6:30 PM twice monthly for parent/teacher conferences

What you’ll do:

• Facilitate and oversee Medicaid billing processes
• Conduct evaluations for K-8 students as needed
• Provide supportive interventions for students and families
• Serve as a bridge between school, home, and community resources
• Actively participate in occasional evening conferences to support parent and teacher engagement
