Key Requirements:

  • Active state license (LMSW, LSW, or LCSW)
  • School certification through RIDE
  • Previous school-based social work experience preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to run 1:1 and group sessions, including social skills groups
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical practice

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide one-on-one and group counseling to students, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral needs
  • Facilitate social skills groups to foster positive peer interactions
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and administrators to support student success
  • Implement interventions and monitor progress
  • Create a safe, inclusive environment that encourages student engagement
  • Document services and maintain accurate records in compliance with school guidelines
  • Participate actively in staff meetings and professional development

Position Details:

  • Full-time schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:15 am – 2:45 pm (Wednesdays until 3:00 pm)
  • Work primarily on the Warren campus this school year, with potential renewal and transition to the Providence campus the following year if mutually agreed
  • Possibility for part-time summer work, allowing flexibility and continuous student support through the year
