This full-time contract role involves working Monday through Friday from 7:15 am to 2:45 pm, with an extended day until 3:00 pm each Wednesday. Serving students during the 26/27 school year, you’ll collaborate closely with educators, families, and administrators to foster a positive school experience for all.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active state license (LMSW, LSW, or LCSW) along with school certification through RIDE; candidates with pending certification must provide proof of application.
- Prior experience in a school setting is highly preferred.
- Strong skills in delivering both one-on-one and group services to diverse student populations.
- Experience facilitating or leading social skills groups is a plus.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct social work interventions to students individually and in small groups.
- Lead and support social skills groups, promoting emotional and behavioral growth.
- Conduct assessments and develop strategies to address barriers to student success.
- Collaborate with staff, families, and external resources to develop and implement effective support plans.
- Maintain up-to-date records of services and communication in compliance with school and state requirements.
- Act as an advocate for student needs, ensuring all voices are heard and supported.
