Make an immediate impact supporting students’ emotional well-being at two vibrant school settings near Crystal Lake, IL. These contract-based Social Worker opportunities offer the chance to work with elementary and therapeutic education students, empowering them to navigate challenges and develop resilience.

There are two openings available:

• Elementary School (1st–5th Grade) | 7:10 am – 2:05 pm
  Work with both self-contained Emotional Disability (ED) and general population students. Deliver crisis intervention, lead group and individual counseling sessions, and collaborate closely with teachers and families to foster a supportive environment.

• Day Therapeutic ED Setting (Grades K–7) | 8:15 am – 3:15 pm (M–F)
  Support a specialized classroom of approximately 30 students, providing social-emotional expertise within a self-contained Emotional Disability and general population mix. Facilitate crisis management, run counseling groups and one-on-one sessions, and partner with educators to craft tailored support plans.

Desired Background & Skills:

• Valid Illinois School Social Worker certification and appropriate licensure
• Experience in school social work, particularly with ED and general education populations
• Proficient in individual and group counseling techniques for K–7 students
• Strong knowledge of crisis intervention and behavioral support strategies
• Excellent collaboration and communication abilities

What You’ll Do:

• Deliver crisis management and proactive prevention support
• Conduct screenings, develop behavioral plans, and maintain timely documentation
• Lead counseling sessions to address social-emotional and behavioral needs
• Train staff and work in tandem with multidisciplinary teams
