Make a positive impact on young learners by supporting their well-being as a school social worker for an elementary caseload. This contract opportunity begins in early November 2026 and continues through the end of December 2026, providing coverage for a maternity leave. You’ll be based in a collaborative educational environment, serving students at two elementary schools and working alongside dedicated faculty and staff.
Your main focus will be to foster a supportive climate, address students’ social and emotional needs, and provide guidance to promote personal growth and academic success during a critical time in their school year.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a school social worker
- Experience working in school settings, preferably elementary level
- Strong understanding of child development, social-emotional learning, and crisis intervention
- Ability to work with diverse student populations and families
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Capacity to document and maintain student records in compliance with regulations
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct services and interventions to students, both in groups and one-on-one
- Consult with and support teachers, staff, and families regarding student concerns
- Coordinate resources and connect families to community agencies when needed
- Participate in individualized education plan (IEP) meetings and provide expertise related to social-emotional supports
- Maintain detailed, confidential documentation for all casework
