School Social Worker in Davison, MI

Step into a meaningful role serving K-12 students as a Multi-Tier Systems of Support (MTSS) Social Worker/Counselor in general education. This contract opportunity offers a full-time weekly commitment (35 hours) during the 2026-2027 academic year, beginning as soon as possible and concluding in early June. The position is based onsite and involves supporting students in a collaborative, data-driven school environment near the Davison, MI area, with opportunities posted across nearby communities.

What You’ll Bring:

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or Counseling from an accredited program
• Possession of a current, valid State of Michigan license (LMSW or LPC); Limited Licenses (LLMSW/LLPC) welcome with progression to full licensure expected
• Experience working as a school social worker or counselor, or within a similar agency
• Familiarity and experience with collaborative teams in educational settings
• Comfortable with K-12 caseload and adapting to different grade levels
• Strong understanding and application of MTSS frameworks

Core Responsibilities:

• Guide data collection and analysis, providing strategic recommendations to school teams and administrators
• Design and manage tiered intervention programs; consult with teachers, support staff, and parents
• Participate actively in MTSS meetings, support teams, and family conferences
• Deliver individual and group counseling and intervention services for students
• Maintain accurate, detailed logs and documentation aligned with district policies
• Coordinate wraparound services for students and families
• Supply staff with research-based intervention strategies and maintain ongoing communication with supervisors
