A full-time School Social Worker role is available within a K-12 setting in Delhi, New York, supporting students and families throughout the academic year on a contract basis. This position focuses on providing direct counseling services, collaborating within the school community, and enhancing student well-being through comprehensive support.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individual and small-group counseling aligned with students’ IEPs, 504 Plans, and Tier 2 or Tier 3 interventions following MTSS Committee guidelines.
  • Collaborate with families to connect students with community-based emotional and mental health resources.
  • Participate as an integral member of the counseling team, assisting faculty in managing crisis situations such as student dysregulation or emotional distress.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation consistent with educational and ethical standards.

Qualifications:

  • Current and valid New York State Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) certification, or actively pursuing LCSW licensure with supervision provided.
  • Alternatively, New York State Certified School Social Worker (C-SSW) credentials are accepted.
  • Completion of mandated reporter training according to New York State education requirements.
  • Approved NYSED fingerprinting and background clearance.
  • Documentation of Sexual Harassment Prevention training per NYSED guidelines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with students, families, and school staff.

Location and Hours:

  • Position based in Delhi, NY.
  • Full-time schedule: Mondays from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Tuesday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 3:15 PM.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive pay rate of $38-40 per hour.
