Experience a supportive and collaborative environment as a school social worker in a close-knit district just north of Denver. This contract opportunity is ideal for both seasoned professionals and recent graduates eager to positively impact K–8 students’ lives. You’ll work alongside a dedicated team and directly support roughly 18 students while coordinating with your fellow team lead, who focuses on grades 8–12.

Your main site will serve K–8 students, where you will spend most of your time delivering direct services and the remainder acting as the site’s case manager and team lead. As part of this small, welcoming district, you’ll attend monthly meetings with other team leads, gaining valuable collaboration, resources, and ensuring compliance with state regulations.

What we’re looking for:

  • Colorado Department of Education (CDE) social work credentials, or actively working toward CDE licensure.
  • Previous experience as a school social worker, or applicable background in school or youth settings.
  • Enthusiasm for working with K–8 students and collaborating with educators, families, and site staff.
  • Ability to manage a modest caseload, provide direct services, and coordinate with district staff.
  • Outstanding communication skills and a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Openness to both local and travel professionals; willingness to share relocation/status information during the hiring process.

What your role will involve:

  • Providing direct social work services to K–8 students, currently approximately 18 on caseload.
  • Leading and managing student cases at the site, collaborating with educators and counselors.
  • Serving as team lead, attending monthly district meetings to share best practices and ensure compliance.
  • Working closely with the district-assigned mentor for ongoing support and professional development.
