School-Based Social Worker | Denver, Colorado

Work on-site in the Denver area across two school assignments, contributing to student achievement by supporting their emotional, social, and behavioral well-being throughout the academic year.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
• Active Colorado Special Service Provider license—School Social Worker (serving ages birth through 21).
• Minimum of three years of directly relevant school-based experience.
• Proficiency in handling diverse student populations across early childhood, elementary, middle, and high school levels.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, staff, and administrators.
• Commitment to completing the full school year, fostering long-term support for students and staff.
• Willingness to complete required district background and fingerprinting checks promptly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive mental health services to address academic, personal, and social concerns affecting student success.
• Assess students’ needs, provide targeted counseling, and refer to external support services when appropriate.
• Communicate proactively with parents, teachers, and administrators to ensure holistic support for each student.
• Maintain accurate case files and track student progress to inform data-driven interventions.
• Support programming for attendance improvement and behavioral interventions.
• Design and facilitate counseling sessions, treatment plans, and workshops tailored to school community needs.
