Make a meaningful impact as a Social Worker supporting a high school population in a contract role near Denver, CO. This assignment provides the opportunity to serve students with unique needs and collaborate with dedicated school staff. The position is on-site, with the campus location to be finalized soon. The assignment begins as soon as possible and extends through May 21, 2027.

Qualifications & Desired Experience

  • Valid Colorado Department of Education Special Services Provider License with a Social Worker Endorsement
  • Experience in school settings, particularly working with students receiving special education services (SPED), highly preferred
  • Skilled in supporting students with mild to moderate disabilities, affective needs, and significant support needs, with direct mental health services as indicated on IEPs
  • Ability to navigate varying service minutes and caseloads across school environments
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with school teams, families, and community resources
  • Must complete required district credentialing paperwork prior to assignment start

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct mental health and social work services to high school students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Assess, plan, and implement appropriate interventions for students with emotional and behavioral needs in partnership with campus teams
  • Maintain thorough documentation of student progress and services provided
  • Consult with educators, families, and ancillary staff to create supportive learning environments
  • Uphold confidentiality, compliance, and ethical standards in all practices
