Make a positive impact supporting high school students through a rewarding contract opportunity as a school social worker. This position is conveniently scheduled from 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM daily, with a 50-minute unpaid lunch, and covers a leave between August 10 and September 18, 2026. The role focuses on promoting student well-being and fostering a supportive school climate.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with the social work endorsement required
  • Experience working with high school student populations, ideally in educational or youth-centered settings
  • Strong assessment, counseling, and intervention skills
  • Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and community resources
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet diverse student needs

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling to high school students, addressing social, emotional, and academic concerns
  • Assess student needs and develop intervention plans that promote well-being and academic success
  • Act as a liaison among students, families, school staff, and external agencies, connecting students to appropriate resources
  • Support school initiatives focused on mental health, social-emotional learning, and crisis response
  • Assist in the development and implementation of strategies for students experiencing barriers to learning
  • Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to ethical standards in school social work
