Desired background and qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program
  • Valid state licensure as a school social worker
  • Relevant experience supporting adolescents in either school or healthcare settings
  • Strong assessment, crisis intervention, and counseling skills
  • Ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, educators, and families
  • Knowledge of social-emotional learning, IEP processes, and evidence-based interventions
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct support and counseling services to high school students
  • Conduct individual and group assessments to identify at-risk youth
  • Develop and implement strategies to address social, emotional, and behavioral barriers to learning
  • Serve as an advocate and liaison between students, families, teachers, and outside agencies
  • Assist in the development and monitoring of IEPs and 504 plans for students requiring additional support
  • Facilitate referrals to community resources and mental health services as needed
  • Maintain accurate records in compliance with regulations and best practices
