School Social Worker - Detroit, MI

Make a meaningful impact supporting elementary students as a school social worker in a contract role located near Detroit, MI. You’ll collaborate with educators, families, and administrators to address the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of young learners in an engaging school environment.

Qualifications:

• Valid state social work license through LARA (LLMSW or LMSW required; those with LBSW, please inquire for further information)
• Eligible for school approval via the Michigan Department of Education (MDE)—candidates must complete online verification
• Experience or strong interest in working within a school setting, particularly with children at the elementary level
• Ability to communicate with compassion, advocacy, and professionalism among diverse populations
• Understanding of IEP and 504 processes is beneficial
• Availability for full-time hours preferred (part-time may be considered based on candidate preferences)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative social work services to elementary-age students
