Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
  • Current state licensure as a School Social Worker or eligibility for certification
  • Experience supporting students in Pre K through 12th grade preferred
  • Knowledge of educational systems, crisis intervention, and behavioral management
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with educators, families, and administrators
  • Ability to develop and implement student intervention plans

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling for students facing social, behavioral, or emotional challenges
  • Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to assess student needs and develop strategies for their success
  • Support crisis intervention efforts and advocate for students as needed
  • Address issues related to attendance, behavior, and social adjustment, working closely with school leadership
  • Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings as required
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district and state policies
