School Social Worker in Eden Prairie, MN

This position focuses on supporting children’s social, emotional, and academic development in a dynamic school environment, with a schedule of Wednesday to Friday each week.

Ideal candidates will possess:

• Certification or licensure as a School Social Worker (or eligibility for licensure in Minnesota)
• Experience working in a school setting, preferably at the elementary level
• Understanding of child development and trauma-informed practices
• Strong collaboration skills to work with teachers, parents, and administrators
• Excellent organization, communication, and crisis intervention skills
• Background in healthcare or community social work is a plus

Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting individual and group counseling sessions to support students’ emotional health and social skills
• Collaborating with educators, families, and external agencies to create and implement intervention strategies
• Facilitating conflict resolution and crisis management when needed
• Advocating for student needs and connecting families with valuable community resources
• Assisting in the development and oversight of 504 plans and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Maintaining accurate case notes and contributing to a positive school culture
