Step into a contract opportunity for the 2026-27 school year as a Social Worker supporting elementary students across a district-wide caseload. Based near Elgin, IL, you will be immersed in a collaborative school environment, providing vital social-emotional services with your expertise as a school-based social worker. While the primary location is an elementary site, your impact will extend throughout the district, offering invaluable support to students and staff.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Hold valid licensure as a School Social Worker (Type 73 or equivalent for Illinois)
• Previous experience in school settings, specifically with elementary age students
• Comprehensive knowledge of MTSS, IEP, and 504 plans
• Comfort adapting to a district-wide caseload and collaborating with multiple teams
• Strong skills in assessment, counseling, crisis intervention, and written documentation
• Ability to build rapport with students, families, and educators

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and indirect services to elementary students
• Conduct individual and group counseling, social skills training, and classroom support
• Evaluate student needs and participate in meetings to develop IEPs and intervention plans
• Consult and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to promote student success
• Lead crisis response, facilitate referrals to outside agencies, and document all services in accordance with district and legal requirements
