Make a difference in the academic journey of middle school students as a dedicated School Social Worker. In this full-time, onsite contract role, you’ll partner with a supportive team to provide essential services for students in grades 6-8. With a manageable caseload of 35 students, you’ll have the opportunity to build meaningful connections and facilitate growth, both academically and emotionally.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker endorsement
- Experience supporting students in grades 6-8 (K-5 and 9-12 experience a plus)
- Strong understanding of IEP processes, compliance, and documentation
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to track and gather data for progress monitoring
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver both direct minutes and consultative support as outlined in student IEPs
- Collect and analyze data for progress reports to ensure meaningful student outcomes
- Complete IEP documentation for Annual Reviews, Initial, and Reevaluation Meetings
- Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Advocate for student needs and help develop strategies to foster academic and social/emotional success
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to best practices in student support
