Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution
  • Active Colorado Special Service Provider license for School Social Work (serving ages birth thru 21)
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a school setting
  • Background check and fingerprinting completed with the district
  • Strong communication skills for engaging with students, families, staff, and administration
  • Dedication to completing the full academic year

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver mental health services designed to foster academic achievement and social-emotional wellness
  • Address and support students facing personal or psychological concerns impacting behavior, attendance, or academic progress
  • Conduct student assessments to determine counseling and intervention needs
  • Refer families to external agencies for additional resources
  • Maintain accurate and confidential case files, monitoring progress and identifying trends
  • Collaborate actively with families, teachers, and administrators for holistic student care
  • Develop and implement individual or group counseling, treatment plans, and workshops
  • Help with remediation strategies for student success
