Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program
  • Valid state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure as a school social worker
  • Prior experience working in a school setting with early childhood or high school students (or both preferred)
  • Strong communication, organizational, and crisis intervention skills
  • Ability to collaborate with families, teachers, and support staff

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling for students proactively addressing social, emotional, and behavioral concerns
  • Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop and implement strategies that promote student well-being
  • Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and multidisciplinary team processes
  • Address crisis situations promptly, ensuring safety and access to appropriate resources
  • Support students in developing resilience and healthy coping strategies
  • Advocate for students’ needs within the educational system
