Certified Social Worker | Estancia, New Mexico

Step into a crucial role supporting the growth and wellbeing of elementary students in a welcoming New Mexico community. This contract opportunity runs through June 2027, offering a full-time schedule of 35 hours per week. You’ll collaborate closely on campus, providing a positive impact through group and individual counseling, as well as crisis intervention.

As a School Social Worker, you’ll work directly with a diverse elementary caseload, providing essential social and emotional support while helping to create an inclusive environment for every student. Your expertise will be key during IEP meetings, where you’ll offer critical perspective and guidance as part of a multidisciplinary team.

What we’re looking for:

• Current license as a Master Social Worker
• New Mexico PED certification as a School Social Worker
• Previous experience in schools (elementary level preferred)
• Ability to support both small groups and individual sessions
• Comfortable facilitating and attending IEP meetings
• Skilled in crisis intervention and response
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities

In this role, you will:

• Deliver individual and group counseling services to elementary students
• Assist with crisis response and intervention as needed
• Advocate for students during IEP meetings, working closely with staff and families
• Develop and implement strategies to improve social-emotional wellness
• Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to meet students’ unique needs

This contract position offers compensation between $38 and $45 per hour, reflecting your experience and skills.
