In this contract role, you’ll collaborate with educators, families, administrators, and community partners to promote the social, emotional, and academic well-being of elementary and middle school students.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Active state licensure as a School Social Worker (required)
- Experience working in elementary or middle school settings
- Certification in School Social Work or related field
- Strong communication and advocacy skills
- Compassionate approach to supporting students and families
- Familiarity with relevant school laws, regulations, and best practices
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess student needs and deliver individualized or group counseling services
- Work closely with teachers and staff to identify students who may benefit from support
- Develop and implement intervention strategies to bridge gaps in behavior or academics
- Facilitate connections between families and community resources
- Maintain accurate case documentation and comply with all confidentiality standards
- Contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings and IEP/504 planning as needed
- Educate staff and students on social-emotional wellness topics
