Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work is required
  • Valid Michigan school social work licensure
  • Experience with student populations at middle and high school levels preferred

  • Ability to build rapport with students, staff, and families
  • Understanding of resources and interventions available for adolescent mental health and social needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct counseling and support services to a caseload of approximately 40 students
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to address students’ academic, emotional, and behavioral needs
  • Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to create a positive, inclusive school climate
  • Serve as a liaison connecting students and families to community resources and supports
  • Participate in student support team meetings and contribute to special education evaluations as needed
  • Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
